Scott McDaniel Alaskan Painter “Eye on the Wheel”

This is an original oil painting by longtime Alaskan painter Scott McDaniel (1926 – 2012)  featuring a person tending a campfire in view of a Fish Wheel nearby.  The image has an impressive background of a snowcapped mountain topped by a lightly clouded sky. The painting is signed in the lower right corner,  and en verso with the title, artist signature and date 5-7-90.  The canvas is 8 x 10″ and the overall framed size is 11.5 x 14″.  The painting is in excellent condition, and the fabric liner shows some staining and wear.
