“Skirting Thin Ice” Scott McDaniel Alaskan Painter

This action packed image of a Musher and his dogs running full out and just missing the hidden water under the ice is typical of paintings by Scott McDaniel (1926 -2012) ..Always something going on.  The colors in the painting convey the cold atmosphere and the ominous sky. The painting is signed in the lower right corner and en verso with the title, artist signature and date 1-24-90 or 12-4-90.  There is also a personal note from the artist. The painting is in excellent condition with the fabric liner showing some staining. The ornate frame is in good condition.  This was framed by the artist. Domestic shipping will be included.
