Hank Wentz thin carved and painted totem pole

This is a classic example of carving by Hank Wentz (1922-1988). Hank was a high skilled carver and a clever person.  This pole is a slender and graceful expression of his talent.  The pole is approximately 10 1/4″ tall, 5/8″ wide, 3/4″ front to back, 1 3/4″ front to back at the beak.  It is signed  “Koosdaka”, a name Hank frequently called himself.  It is believed this pole was carved in Juneau, Alaska in the early 1980’s.
