George Ahgupuk Original Color Drawing on Reindeer Skin. “Herd of Caribou”

This is an older original drawing by Inupiaq artist George Ahgupuk  (1911-2001) of a herd of Caribou running across a snowy field on a clear Arctic day.  The drawing itself is approximately 3.5″ x 9.5″. The colors are bright and clear. The drawing is mounted in a dark blue metal frame, with glass, and a light blue mat.   The outside dimensions are 7 3/4″ x 13 3/4″.  The drawing is signed “Reindeer Skin” and “Ahgupuk”.  The metal frame has slight scuffs from handling. The date of this drawing is unknown, however, it is believed to have been done sometime before 1980. Domestic shipping is included.
